Title: Making mental health patients co-designers


Malene Terp is a mental health nurse by background and currently a PhD student at the Department of Health Science and Technology at Aalborg University, Denmark. Malene is interested in user-involvement, and in particular organizational user-involvement, and how mental health patients can become strong partners in service design. Based on her current research, her Key Note speech will outline how vulnerable young adults with schizophrenia became co-designers of the smartphone application MindFrame, and how the room for co-design was constructed to support participation and engagement.
